Czech Republic, Prague, Feb 2011 – Jing Perez, interior designer announced yesterday that soon will be available in the market of Czech Republic a unique Philippine product made from shells called Capiz. He launched to focus Capiz shells, a marine mollusk that are found in coastal waters of the Philippines. Capiz is a semi-transparent shell with pearl-like appearance. It is considered by most as elegantly natural that fits almost all kind of setup interior decoration for home and offices

“We start with carefully handmade candle holders which were carefully cut into leaf-shape to form the lotus flower design, because they create colorful luminescent effect when candle is lighted” said Jing. “The Czech value symbols and natural materials so I chose this initial product to connect with them.” The elegance of capiz shell exudes a message of inner peace, it has always been for centuries. It has been adorned and have been selected by many aristocrats for home decoration since the time of the Galleon trade in the 1800, he added.
Perez is also an expert in indigenous Asian products, he selects highly decorative product that gives international appeal. He believes that flexibility in addition to beauty and quality is the essence of pure art. He said that while capiz is also available in other countries such as Indonesia and Thailand, capiz in the Philippines possess a unique feature because of the coastal salinity that comes from the Pacific Ocean. When ocean water to drift along the 7100 islands of the Philippines, it create an environment that make luster of shells and pearls extremely unique among others.
Perez, who goes by the name PereZ (reads Pa-ris with capital Z) have years of experience in the interior designing business. Having had experience in Los Angeles with accounts such as Vin Diesel, in New York and with Philippine TV production set-preparations, Perez can not go wrong with his visual projections.
